US stocks: Retail investors sold SpaceX shares for first time on Friday
For the first time since its launch, retail investors sold off SpaceX shares, coinciding with a rebound towards its IPO price. This change reflects a reevaluation of risk versus reward, prompting some to take profits. Since mid-July, the company's stock has struggled below the IPO threshold, following a series of declines and an overall downturn in SpaceX's market value.
For the first time since SpaceX went public in June, retail investors became net sellers. On Friday, August 7, they sold $4.5 million more of the company's shares than they bought, according to data from Vanda Research.
