Softball Announces Schedule Change to 2026 Opening Weekend

STORRS, Conn. - Due to recent winter storms impacting Elon, North Carolina, the Elon Softball Classic, originally scheduled as UConn's season-opening tournament, has been cancelled. The Huskies will now begin their 2026 season at the JoAnne Graf Classic, hosted by Florida State University, from February 5-8.

TALLAHASSEE - Florida State softball announced a revised schedule to the JoAnne Graf Classic due to the addition of UConn to the tournament. The Huskies were originally schedule to play in Elon Softball Classic, but that tournament was canceled due to weather conditions.

The Elon softball team opens its 2026 season this Thursday, traveling to Chapel Hill for a four-game tournament hosted by North Carolina at Anderson Softball Stadium.

ELON, N.C. - Elon Softball announced Monday afternoon that this weekend's tournament hosted by the Phoenix has been canceled. The Radford Softball program's games against Saint Joseph's, Elon, North Carolina, and UConn scheduled between February 5th and 7th are all canceled and will not be played at a later date.
