The administration of the services has concluded a structural reform that allows to obtain more detailed information about those enrolled in primary health care and about the users who meet the conditions to have coverage of family physician, allowing to adapt the resources to the needs of the population
The National Health Service (NSS) concluded the classification of the National Register of Users (NUR), with 10.77 million registered, with a coverage rate of 87% family physician, was announced today.
The SNS concluded the reorganization of the National Register of Users, which counts 10.77 million registered in primary health care. Although 87% have family physician, more than 1.36 million continue to wait for allocation, with Lisbon and Vale do Tejo presenting the lowest coverage rate in the country.
The Algarve region has 80% of eligible users with a family doctor, seven points below the 87% registered in the country as a whole.
