Aunt Enso plans to take over up to 36 Tegut branches in Thuringia, Hesse and Bavaria. This is reported by the Haßfurt Tagblatt.
The conversion at Tegut is gaining momentum: In addition to Edeka and Rewe, Aunt Enso's mini-market chain is also gaining access. A former Tegut manager is behind the takeover.
Following Edeka and Rewe, a third supermarket chain has expressed interest in Tegut branches. The Bremen-based company Tante Enso operates semi-automated 24/7 supermarkets in rural areas. Its CEO is a familiar face at Tegut.
