Foreigners in Slovakia will no longer have to pay more for fuel than locals starting Friday, Social Democrat Economy Minister Denisa Sakova announced, adding that the current fuel rationing will also be lifted.
Because of a "petroleum emergency", Slovakia had rationed fuel and demanded higher prices for foreigners. Now it is giving in to pressure from the EU. From Friday onwards, the same prices will apply to all.
