Amit Shah to Address BJP’s Anti-Drug Yatra Finale in Jalandhar

- On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a rally in Jalandhar to conclude the BJP's 13-day "Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra" anti-drug campaign.
- Launched September 18 from Pathankot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Talwandi Sabo and Fazilka, the campaign covered about 4,000 km across Punjab's 117 Assembly constituencies, BJP leader Rajesh Bagha said.
- Organizers expect around 200,000 attendees at the Paragpur venue, where the BJP arranged more than 2,000 buses across nearly 60 acres including about 45 acres for the rally site.
- Families who lost relatives to drugs are expected to attend the rally. Anil Sarin stated, "This is not a political programme but a social and people's movement."
- Punjab BJP general secretary Parminder Brar said the yatra's conclusion does not signal the end of the party's anti-drug campaign, vowing to continue the movement beyond September 30.
