Sky Confirms 7 Changes Coming to Millions of TVs Across the UK in October 2026
The free software update adds a top menu, sports shortcuts, recording tools and Smart Voice, with about 1,000 hours of storage.
Sky is rolling out free software updates for Sky Glass TVs and Sky Stream boxes in the coming months, introducing a New menu bar and streamlined navigation.
A New menu bar across the top of the Home screen provides instant access to Home, Guide, Library, Sport, Account, and Settings, simplifying how Users navigate the interface.
The update adds a Dedicated Sport section making it easier to access live channels and on-demand content, while a Recents section lets Users return to recently used apps and channels.
Sky Stream and Sky Glass will gain recording capabilities for individual programs or series, offering around 1,000 hours of storage for Users to manage their content.
Smart Voice, an Improved Sky search feature, handles complicated requests and follow-up questions, with a glowing ball appearing on screen to indicate processing activity.
