- On Sunday December 14, 2025, six teenagers were shot and wounded at a birthday party outside Champagne Room Events Space, 2929 Atlantic Avenue, police said after responding to 911 calls around 1:16 a.m.
- NYPD investigators say the celebration had ended about 20 minutes earlier at Burbuja Events, and the motive remains unknown, with victims outside when shots were fired.
- Police on arrival found victims with gunshot wounds to various body parts; all were in stable condition, and Sanders described `It was a chaotic situation; there were paramedics and police rushing in and bringing people out one by one`, Sanders said.
- As of Sunday morning there are no arrests and investigators from the 75th Precinct continue the probe, urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
- The shooting followed hours after the Brown University attack and Bondi Beach incident, on the 13th anniversary of Sandy Hook, with GVA recording 389 mass shootings by mid-December.
