The Dutch show jumpers got off to a strong start on the first day of the World Championships in Aachen. All four combinations cleared jumping faults on Wednesday. The absolute highlight was the performance of Harrie Smolders, who guided his 14-year-old Mr. Tac across the course at lightning speed. "I rode exactly as I had planned."
The Dutch show jumpers have made a good start to the World Championships in Aachen. Harrie Smolders, riding Mr. Tac, occupies second place in the standings after the first event. He was a fraction slower than the Frenchman Julien Épaillard.
