Trump blamed the soaring crime rates in London on Khan’s leadership, or rather, the lack thereof. What’s more, a high percentage of Londoners agreed with Trump, even in the minority communities. And British Prime Minister Starmer refused to back Khan, whose approval rate dropped significantly following Trump’s remarks.
