Shivon Zilis Says She’s Been ‘Let Go’ From Relationship With Elon Musk
Zilis said Musk ended their relationship without warning and shared screenshots of texts showing they had been in love days earlier.
- On Friday, Shivon Zilis announced her relationship with Elon Musk ended abruptly after he unfollowed her on X, the social platform he owns. She posted that she went "from in love to let go in a week with no warning."
- Zilis, a Neuralink executive, shares four children with Musk and described their household as a place "full of happiness and love" while spending family time in Austin. The breakup came without warning after years together.
- The post included a text exchange regarding a dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the White House, where Musk told Zilis he would have invited her if he knew he could bring a "significant other."
- Despite the breakup, Zilis expressed hope to remain "great friends and coparents," writing, "I'm hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness."
- The 300-word statement is an unusually intimate dispatch from the private executive; observers suggest the public nature of the post highlights unsettling power dynamics between Musk and Zilis.
