Abe Memorial Corridor honouring Shinzo Abe, India-Japan ties opened in Varanasi
The inauguration comes as India and Japan seek to deepen their partnership beyond traditional cultural exchanges, with Varanasi’s historic ties with Kyoto serving as an important symbol of the relationship.
Shinzo Abe Varanasi: The Abe Memorial Corridor, dedicated to the memory of Shinzo Abe, will be inaugurated at the Rudraksh Convention Center in Varanasi. It will showcase the legacy of India-Japan friendship and Kashi-Kyoto relations.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that India-Japan friendship is paving new paths of shared prosperity from Kashi to Kyoto. The Abe Memorial Corridor, dedicated to the memory of Shinzo Abe, has been built in Kashi.
Aki Abe, wife of the late former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, reached Varanasi on Wednesday. She was welcomed at the airport by MLA Saurabh Srivastava. Aki Abe will inaugurate the photo gallery built in the memory of Shinzo Abe at the Rudraksh Convention Centre in Sigra. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present at the event.
