Brown continues to have a lead among younger voters, but they indicate a lack of enthusiasm about voting. That is also the case with independents, who heavily favor Brown, but are not enthusiastic about voting. Husted must improve his numbers among the age group of 40-64 to win the contest. This poll does not reflect any change in weighting based on voter enthusiasm. Such an adjustment could place Husted in the lead, although enthusiasm among Republican voters lags behind that of Democrats by ten points. Husted must close this gap as well to achieve a solid lead. But he is certainly closing in.”
