Shenandoah Vineyards celebrates 50 years and announces new owners

The anniversary comes after Emma Randel’s niece and great-nieces bought the state’s oldest winery back into the family.

When Emma and Jim Randel planted the first 5,000 vines on her family land in 1976, north of Edinburg, they were taking a chance on something still relatively new to Virginia.
