Haas Factory Team Loses Another Driver After the 2026 Season
The 29-year-old points leader has three wins this season and will leave Haas Factory Team after 2026.
- On Saturday, Sam Hunt Racing owner Sam Hunt announced the signing of current NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series points leader Sheldon Creed to a multi-year deal beginning in 2027.
- Creed currently leads the 2026 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series standings with 11 points over Justin Allgaier, having secured three wins this season at Darlington and Bristol while driving for Haas Factory Team.
- Lauding the acquisition, Sam Hunt said, "Today marks one of the most fulfilling announcements I've had the pleasure of making since founding SHR," describing Creed as a "racer in the purest form."
- Following Sam Mayer's departure for JR Motorsports, Haas Factory Team will part ways with Creed after the 2026 season, leaving the driver lineup for 2027 TBD.
- Currently focused on winning the 2026 championship with Haas Factory Team, Creed expressed enthusiasm for his future, saying he is "thrilled to have my plans locked in for next year and into the future with a quality group of people.
