US Edition'Shaun the Sheep' Returns in Halloween Film
The new family-friendly horror spoof features Shaun and the flock facing a wild beast and mad-scientist chaos, arriving in theaters Sept. 18, during Aardman's 50th anniversary.
- On Wednesday, Aardman Animation and Studiocanal released a new trailer and poster for Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, which will arrive in theaters on Sept. 18.
- Aardman Studios is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with events highlighting its legacy, founded by Peter Lord and David Sproxton and made famous by animator Nick Park.
- According to the official synopsis, the Farmer trashes the flock's pumpkin patch, Shaun turns mad scientist, the Farmer goes missing, and a hairy beast roams Mossingham in a family-friendly horror spoof using stop-motion and nods to classic horror films.
- Studiocanal will release the film theatrically across its territories, including France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Benelux and Italy, while Sky U.K. offers a day-and-date release in Britain.
- With series veterans returning, Shaun the Sheep franchise continues its run with directors Steve Cox and Matthew Walker making their feature debut from a script by Mark Burton.
