‘I lost a lot of things’: Heavy floods leave man’s backyard looking like body of water

Saskatchewan has seen 28 floods this year, quadruple the five-year average. As of Wednesday afternoon, the province’s public safety agency was dealing with 20 active floods.

Several northern highways closed due to flooding

Saskatchewan’s Highway Hotline website shows several roadway closures from the southeast, near Yorkton, to northern parts of the province. Highway 918 north of Beauval to Patunak is listed as closed this morning. Flooding was also reported on the weekend on Highway 165 south and east of Beauval.
