Sept. 11 first responders to attend B.C. border ceremony on anniversary of attacks
New York first responders from September 11, 2001, will attend a memorial in British Columbia marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
Hundreds of first responders, military and border officers, and dignitaries from both Canada and the United States will join the Northwest 9/11 Memorial ceremony at the Peace Arch monument on the B.C.-U.S. border.
The ceremony will honor lives lost during the attacks and recognize ongoing service and sacrifice, including a U.S. Homeland Security helicopter flypast.
The event is held at a park symbolizing friendship between Canada and the United States.
