Interstate 4 reopens in Sanford after explosive scare
Authorities stopped a truck on Interstate 4 on Friday and detained the driver after receiving information suggesting a possible explosive device inside. The driver was taken into custody, officials said. A law enforcement expert said no explosive device was ultimately found in the truck, though the origin of the initial tip remains unclear.
Seminole County authorities arrested the driver of a truck that was possibly carrying an explosive. As confirmed from the offices of Caminera Patrol, everything happened during a traffic stop on the lanes east of I-4, in the 101 mile marker area, in Lake Mary, Seminole County. The driver was arrested and the Florida Road Patrol (FHP) was informed that there could be an explosive device in the truck.
