Mukesh Ambani-Led Jio Platforms IPO Receives SEBI Approval
Jio Platforms has received SEBI approval for its initial public offering aiming to raise about INR 37,700 crore through a fresh issue of up to 27 crore equity shares, diluting approximately 2.93 percent with no offer-for-sale component.
The IPO proceeds will largely be used to repay borrowings of Jio Platforms' subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, allocating around INR 27,500 crore for this purpose.
Reliance Industries retains a 66.43 percent holding in Jio Platforms alongside global partners like Meta and Google.
Jio Platforms serves over 530 million subscribers and aims to demonstrate that India can build technology companies of global scale and value.
