Scientists observe the effect of gravity on a quantum object for the first time

The result matched Albert Einstein’s prediction and adds a direct test of whether gravity affects a quantum object in free fall.

A collaborative research from various institutes showed for the first time that a falling quantum object feels the effect of gravity, as predicted by Albert Einstein.
