- The depression crossed the coast near Kalingapatnam between 11 p.m. on Wednesday and 1 a.m. on Thursday, moving inland with wind gusts reaching 75 kmph before weakening.
- Heavy rains killed two women in Anakapalli district, while 48 trees were uprooted in Visakhapatnam, blocking roads and damaging infrastructure across the area.
- Around 10,000 residents were moved to nearly 200 relief centers as the State Disaster Response Force worked to clear debris and restore road connectivity.
- The India Meteorological Department expects the depression to weaken by Saturday, though weather alerts remain in effect as heavy rain continues across coastal districts.
