With state honours on Tuesday, Slovakia said goodbye to a teacher who did not survive a knife attack at a primary school a week ago. The mourning ceremony in Staškov in the north of the country was attended not only by relatives of the 61-year-old victim, but also, for example, her colleagues, ministers, the prosecutor general and members of the honor guard of the Slovak president brought a wreath. This was reported by Slovak media.

STAŠKOV - Staškov and all of Slovakia are still coming to terms with the tragedy that took place on the school grounds. After the knife attack that killed teacher Božena (†61) and 14-year-old student Nelka, their families are facing the most difficult times. This week, their loved ones will say their final goodbyes to both.
The deadly school attack in Staškov, Slovakia, is still very much on the scene. A memorial has been set up at the school where students leave messages for the deceased teacher Božena (†61) and classmate Nelka (†14). A crisis intervention team and psychologists are also working in the town.
