SC dismisses PIL for re-test of NEET-PG 2026 examination
The Supreme Court dismissed a petition seeking to re-conduct the NEET-PG 2026 examination. Justices pulled up the lawyer and petitioner for misusing legal processes. A cost of Rs 25,000 was imposed on the petitioner for filing the plea. The court will ask the Bar Council of India to take action against the lawyer. The petition alleged a violation of a single-shift exam order due to power outages.
The Supreme Court, while dismissing the PIL seeking re-conducting of the NEET PG exam, reprimanded the petitioner and the lawyer and also imposed a fine on the petitioner.
