Saudi Arabia is offering Asian buyers more oil to load at the Omani port of Sohar, in response to damage to the key East-West pipeline that bypasses the partially blocked Strait of Hormuz. The outage could also affect supplies to European refineries.
Oil is correcting strongly after yesterday’s jump. WTI is again approaching US$99 per barrel and Brent is quoted at around US$103.7, moving away from the peaks they reached during the previous day.
