Saudi inflation reaches 1.8% in July, driven by 4.2% rise in housing costs

Saudi Arabia's annual inflation rate reached 1.8 percent in July 2026, driven mainly by a 4.2 percent increase in housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel prices, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

Inflation eased in July; prices remain elevated

Inflation continued to ease last month from its war-driven surge earlier in the year, but prices still remain at a high level as constrained fuel supplies have increased the cost of living.
