Saudi Arabia projects 2027 budget deficit at 3.6% of GDP
The Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday the Pre-Budget Statement for financial year 2027, which estimates total expenditures at approximately SR1,392 billion and total revenues at approximately SR1,202 billion, with a deficit estimated at around 3.6 percent of GDP.

The Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia announced today, Wednesday, a preliminary statement of the State budget for the fiscal year 2027, with a projected total expenditure of approximately SAR 1.392 trillion, against an estimated revenue of approximately R$ 1.202 trillion, with a deficit of about 3.6 per cent of GDP.
The Saudi Ministry of Finance expected public expenditure in the 2027 budget to be approximately 1.392 trillion rials ($371.2 billion), with continued expenditure on development priorities and projects with economic and social returns.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Finance, in its Preliminary General Budget Report for the 2027 fiscal year, projected a budget deficit of 3.6 percent of GDP. The deficit will be financed through debt management and strong fiscal reserves.
