Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the opening of the Sardes Ancient City and Bintepe Lydian Tumuli Aerial Monitoring and Security Center in Manisa.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy inaugurated the Sardes Ancient City and Bintepe Lydian Tumuli Aerial Monitoring and Security Center. Bintepe, which spans approximately 75 square kilometers and contains more than 120 monumental tombs, will be monitored using high-capability drones.
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that with the center opened in the ancient city of Sardes in Manisa, illegal excavations will be detected early using drones and reported to the gendarmerie. The center will protect cultural heritage with two long-range and night-vision drone systems.
