Samsung's Android 17 Floodgates Are Open – Updates Rolling Out for Galaxy S26, S25, More
The Android 17 update adds new AI features and scam-detection tools as Samsung expands stable and beta releases to more Galaxy models.
Samsung is widely rolling out its Android 17-based One UI 9 update globally for Galaxy S26 devices, with the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 also receiving the update.
The stable version debuted on Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 in July, with Samsung announcing its rollout to older devices would begin earlier this month, now appearing across Europe, India, and the U.S.
Beyond stable releases, a second beta update launched for Galaxy A55 and A35 phones in South Korea, while the S24 series receives its second beta in India with a 600.90MB file size.
Users can check for the roughly 4GB update via Settings > Software Update > Check, ensuring sufficient battery and storage while backing up important files on the Cloud before installing.
The update introduces AI-enhanced features like Now Nudge and My Fancam for eligible devices including S23 series or Z Flip and Z Fold no older than 5 models.
The stable update based on Android 17 is now available in South Korea and the United States. However, international models are still waiting for their arrival. The Samsung entry will release One UI 9.0 for Galaxy S26 as of September 30 was first published on Chronos.
