Samsung has expanded its One UI 9 beta program to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Galaxy S25 series in select markets. The Android 17-based update brings refined interface tweaks, AI features from the Z Fold 8 and improved multitasking for foldables. Early builds carry risks but offer a preview of changes arriving on dozens of devices this year.

The update of Samsung's Android environment comes into force on high-end terminals, integrating exclusive functions of foldable models. At the same time, the beta opens quickly to previous iterations. However, the full support experience will require a minimum of 12 GB of RAM, thus depriving some more accessible phones of these unprecedented autonomous capabilities.
After several months of testing One UI 9 on Galaxy S26, Samsung finally expands the public beta program to include Galaxy S25. As is usually the case for Samsung, One UI 9 for Galaxy S25 is currently available only in selected countries, and will be available in other countries as new beta versions are released.
