Samsung is shutting down two apps it used to brag about

Samsung says future versions of One UI will drop support for the two apps, and users will not be able to download them after the shutdown date.

  • Samsung will discontinue two applications, Doodle and Quick Measure, on December 31, 2026. The company confirmed the scheduled sunset through updated changelogs posted to the Galaxy App Store.
  • Both applications provided unique functions, as Doodle allows virtual drawing on objects and Quick Measure uses the camera to measure dimensions. Samsung is currently reducing support for these tools.
  • Future versions of the One software will not support the apps, and they are already unavailable on newer hardware like the Galaxy Fold 8.
  • After the December 31, 2026 deadline, the applications will no longer be available for download. Users who wish to continue utilizing these features should download the software before the cutoff.
  • Commentators Jujun Junaedi and Tarun Vats identified the changes via the Galaxy App Store. Existing installations may continue to function, but the applications will receive no further development support.
