Alvin Kamara Shares Honest Feelings on "Beef" with Travis Etienne Jr. After Saints' New Addition
Kamara said he is 100% behind the move, calling Etienne explosive and saying the two can help the Saints' backfield.
On Monday, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara appeared on Terron Armstead's "The Set" podcast and expressed he was "excited" about partnering with Travis Etienne for the 2026 season.
The Saints signed Etienne to a four-year, $52 million contract in free agency to bolster the backfield, prompting Kamara to state, "One person can't do it by themselves."
Kamara and Armstead discussed the potential for a "two-headed monster" backfield, similar to the one the Saints enjoyed when Kamara and Mark Ingram topped the depth chart .
Despite offseason rumors regarding his future, Kamara indicated he plans to remain with the Saints, stating he "couldn't be happier" with the roster addition.
Looking toward 2026, Kamara emphasized the need for hard work, recalling former coach Sean Payton's advice to "not drink the Kool-Aid" and work "10 times harder" to maximize potential.
