The sailors Tom Laperche and Franck Cammas, aboard the SVR Lazartigue, won Sunday the 24H Ultim in Lorient, the last major confrontation between sea giants before the Transat Café L的Or at the end of October.
The skippers' duo won on SVR-Lazartigue the 24-hour race off the coast of South Brittany, with a return trip to Lorient. It bodes well for them one month after the start of the Transat Café l'Or (ex Jacques-Vabre), of which they will be favored in ultim.
The fourth edition of the 24H Ultim took place this weekend, offering the 14 multihulls entered a great course in perfect weather conditions to prepare for the Transat Café L’Or. Over 40 knots, repeated maneuvers between unexpected calm phases and crucial tactical choices. In the end, victory went to SVR-Lazartigue in Ultim® and Edenred in Ocean Fifty.
