Indian Fintech Navi to Raise $100 Million Ahead of Planned IPO
The first institutional funding for the eight-year-old fintech comes as it prepares for an initial public offering and reported consolidated profitability in fiscal 2026.
On Wednesday, Indian fintech Navi secured $100 million from Prosus, marking the eight-year-old startup's first institutional funding round. The investment reportedly values the company at about $1.3 billion.
Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal established Navi in 2018 after selling his stake in the e-commerce giant to Walmart in a $16 billion deal.
Managing more than $1.4 billion in assets, Navi Finserv supports the company's lending arm. The Navi app ranks as India's fourth-largest Unified Payments Interface platform.
Reportedly preparing for an initial public offering to raise about $314 million, the company seeks growth. The latest valuation of $1.3 billion contrasts with its previous $2 billion institutional target.
Navi reached consolidated profitability in Q4 of fiscal 2026, serving hundreds of millions of users. The investment remains subject to regulatory approval by the Competition Commission of India.
