An oil pipeline in northeastern Syria was damaged in what is described as a sabotage attack. This marks the third incident targeting Syria’s energy infrastructure in recent weeks, following years of devastation due to civil conflict.

At 6 a.m. on Wednesday, a subversive attack was carried out on the oil line located at point 50 kilometres near the Tel Hamis area of the southern Qamishli countryside of Hasakeh governorate.
Incident, after which the competent authorities were able to "identify the perpetrators, stop them and direct them to justice", occurred at dawn at an installation in Al-Hasakah province.
Damascus: The Syrian Petroleum Company, on Wednesday, announced that an oil pipeline in Hasakeh governorate in the north-east of the country had been subjected to a subversive attack and that the perpetrators had been arrested by the authorities.
