Arsenal sweep Coventry aside to start title defence with 3-0 win
Arsenal began their Premier League title defense with a 3-0 win against Coventry City at Emirates Stadium, with goals by Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, and captain Martin Ødegaard.
Mikel Arteta secured his 150th Premier League win in 249 games, joining an elite group including Guardiola, Mourinho, Klopp, and Ferguson.
Coventry City, promoted last season and spending over £120 million on new signings, struggled and had their first shot on goal in the 86th minute.
Arsenal’s Bruno Guimarães missed the game due to injury, while Myles Lewis-Skelly and Declan Rice were in midfield, and Christos Tzolis started contributing to key plays.
