Ruth teen charged with manslaughter in January shooting - Daily Leader

A Ruth teenager has been arrested and charged with manslaughter. At about 11 p.m. Jan. 23, 2026, Travis Jay Giles, 18, was fatally shot at a gathering with friends at his residence, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing. Four other juveniles were present at the time, the sheriff said. They were handling firearms and Giles was shot.
