The credible version is a MiG-31 successor with better range, speed, sensors, and missile loadout, a larger radar aperture, long-range datalinks, and enough internal volume for oversized air-to-air missiles, built to defend Russia's vast airspace against cruise missiles, bombers, drones, and reconnaissance aircraft.
