The 22nd Okinawa Runners Club Zanpa Cape Ekiden Race (organized by the Okinawa Runners Club Federation, with special cooperation from the Okinawa Times) was held on the 26th at Zanpa Cape Park in Yomitan Village. 101 teams and 505 runners ran their hearts out along the 17.5-kilometer course divided into five sections, through the pouring rain. The baton was passed from club members and colleagues to parents and grandchildren.
