Tuesday night, the Royals said Massey was “doing well,” but he was not in the lineup Wednesday night and now heads to the injured list for the second time this season.

The Royals announced Thursday that they’ve selected the contract of lefty Anthony Gose from Triple-A Omaha. Kansas City also recalled infielder Josh Rojas.
