Romania and Hungary will have disastrous crops of maize, shows a Reuters analysis. Two of the countries that contributed significantly to European cereal production were hit by a severe drought, but the real alarm signal represents the permanentization of the phenomenon: the statistical data shows that both countries reached less than half of the crops they had a decade ago.
