The President of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves, visited the Center for the Confining of Terrorism (CECOT) in El Salvador on December 12, as part of the second and last day of his official visit to the country. During the tour, Chaves met the pavilions where gang members are being held, the isolation cells, the watchtowers and the armory area, as well as the security protocols that allow to maintain control over prisoners.
