Rockford-area landlord sued for 'racial insults'

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Winnebago County landlord who refused to accept a housing application from a Black woman has agreed to pay $20,000 to settle a federal lawsuit. The woman contacted the landlord in response to a listed rental property in the Rockford area.
