Rocket Lab Secures Largest-Ever Electron Commercial Deal:
The contract is Rocket Lab’s largest commercial Electron deal and raises Synspective’s total planned Electron missions to 47, the companies said.
- Rocket Lab Corporation announced on September 30 a multi-year agreement with Tokyo-based Earth observation company Synspective for 20 Electron missions, marking the largest commercial launch contract in Rocket Lab's history.
- Synspective has been one of Electron's earliest customers, and Sir Peter Beck, Rocket Lab founder and CEO, attributed the partnership to proven orbital precision and reliable launch cadence.
- The contract brings total Electron missions for Synspective to 47, the most of any Rocket Lab launch customer, while the company's launch backlog now exceeds 100 missions.
- Scheduled annually from 2028 through 2031, Dr. Motoyuki Arai, Synspective founder and CEO, stated the deal provides "long-term certainty" for constellation expansion imaging Earth day or night.
- As global launch capacity remains bottlenecked, Rocket Lab offers a "proven alternative" delivering reliable launch for constellation deployment and missile defense missions worldwide.
