Robert Canady retires after 35 years of service with Covington Fire Department

After 35 years of service, Deputy Chief Fire Marshal Robert Canady is finally taking off his boots and hanging up his helmet for good. For more than three decades, when the alarm sounded, Canady was among the first to answer the call. Now, after a career marked by courage, leadership and service, the longtime fireman took a step back and into retirement in May 2026.
