‘Road to Reconciliation’: March for Indigenous Women and Girls Held in Clearwater - Barriere North Thompson Star
Organizers said the first roundabout and highway route made the annual march more visible as participants raised awareness for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
When Georgina Leppky is asked to introduce herself, she begins with the words, “Nisga’a nuum,” which means “I am Nisga’a.” Leppky is part of the Nisga’a Nation and Eagle Clan, and was born in the Nass Valley in northwestern B.C.
