Riverside School District To Host Series of Back-To-School Events – Ellwood City, PA news

With back to school in focus this month, Riverside Beaver County School District is hosting a handful of events to help get students acquainted with their upcoming classes. Riverside High School will hold the annual Open House and 9th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, August 25th in the High School Auditorium. High school students and parent(s)/guardian(s) are encouraged to attend beginning at 5:30 p.m. Middle school ‘Meet Your Teacher’ will take place on Wednesday, August 26th in the Middle School Gymnasium GRADE 7 & 8 MEET THE TEACHER 9:00 AM – 10:20 AM GRADE 6 MEET THE TEACHER 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM GRADE 5 MEET THE TEACHER 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM Riverside Elementary will host a ‘Meet Your Teacher’ event for 1st through 4th Graders on Tuesday, August 25th. The event provides students with the opportunity to locate their classrooms and meet their teachers before the first day of school. The Schedule for the afternoon is below. Students in Grads 3 and 4 who have two teachers should report to their homeroom teacher’s classroom first. Students in Grade 1-3 who have only one teacher should report directly to their assigned classroom at the designated time. Due to limited space, the school ask that, if possible, please refrain from bringing additional family members. Grades 3&4 Last Names A-M — 10:00am to 10:45am Grades 3&4 Last Names N-Z — 11am to 11:45am Grades 1&2 Last Names A-M — 1:00pm to 1:45pm Grades 1&2 Last Names N-Z — 2:00pm to 2:45pm Kindergarten orientation will take place Wednesday, August 26th. This event is designed to help parents and their child become familiar with the district. During orientation, parents will receive important information and your child will have the opportunity to tour a school bus, eat in the cafeteria, and play on the playground. Kindergarten teachers will send an email on August 14th with their specific orientation date and time. When arriving for orientation please enter the Primary Center through Door 3 and staff will greet you and direct you where to go.
