Minister Suriya chaired an urgent meeting to monitor the water situation in the Chao Phraya River basin, increasing the water discharge from the Chao Phraya Dam to 1,850 cubic meters per second. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment ordered the mobilization of water pumps to assist in Prachinburi, Singburi, and Saraburi provinces.
The National Water Resources Office (NWRO) has called on agencies and at-risk provinces to adjust their plans to cope with heavy rainfall on September 26-27, reducing water discharge from the Bhumibol and Sirikit dams to mitigate downstream impacts.
