Tottenham Omit Richarlison From Premier League Squad Amid Trabzonspor Interest

On Thursday, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed the exclusion of 29-year-old forward Richarlison from their Premier League squad for the 2026-27 season following Tuesday's transfer deadline.
Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi explained the decision, stating the Brazilian was omitted because "too many times he asked to leave" amid transfer speculation.
Addressing the situation earlier this week, Richarlison called for "Respect" in a social media post, declaring he would no longer allow others to decide his future.
Despite the Premier League window closing Tuesday, the forward is still expected to depart, with transfer windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia remaining open until September 4.
Tottenham previously held talks with Everton regarding his return, though a deal fell through, while the club simultaneously pursued Iliman Ndiaye, who ultimately signed with Manchester City.
In the midst of the negotiations of his departure, Richarlison was left out of Tottenham's list of players for the season in the Premier League.
