Review: Mazda CX-60 Plug-in hybrid
Mazda’s updated plug-in hybrid adds cabin changes and safety equipment, but home charging is still needed to avoid heavy petrol use.
For 2025, Mazda has given the Mazda CX-60 Plug-in a subtle refresh, introducing interior updates like black Nappa leather seats and a redesigned dashboard panel while keeping exterior styling unchanged.
Since its launch, the SUV has shifted in the lineup; the arrival of the larger CX-80 pushed the CX-60 down the hierarchy, while Mazda expanded electrified options to include the Mazda2, Mazda3, and CX-6e.
The 2.5-litre petrol Engine paired with an electric motor delivers strong performance, with the Eight-speed automatic transmission providing smooth, seamless shifts for the SUV.
Inside, The Homura Plus benefits from a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and 360-degree camera, while the Mi-Drive system allows drivers to tailor the vehicle to conditions like Sport or Towing.
Combined CO2 emissions are rated at 33g/km, though home charging is essential to maximize efficiency; without it, fuel economy settles to a respectable 45mpg after the battery depletes.
